Labourer dies after tyre burst incident in Tangmarg

Baramulla, Jan 4: A casual labourer of the Mechanical Department died on Saturday after a tyre burst as he was repairing a truck in the Tangmarg area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official said the casual labourer from the Mechanical Engineering Department died while working on a flat tyre of his truck when the rim suddenly detached with force, leaving him critically injured.

He said he was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way, news agency JKNS reported.

The official identified the deceased as Manzoor Ahmad (40) from Qazipora area of Tangmarg in Baramulla.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
