Labour Bureau announces CPI for industrial workers

Srinagar, Oct 31: The Labour Bureau, an attached office of the Ministry of Labour and Employment has announced the Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for September 2025 at 147.3, marking a rise of 0.2 points.

The all-India CPI-IW for September, 2025 increased by 0.2 point ad stood at 147.3. Year-on-year inflation for September, 2025 stood at 2.79 percent as compared to 4.22 percent in September, 2024, said an official statement.

The Labour Bureau has been compiling Consumer Price Index for industrial workers every month on the basis of retail prices collected from 317 markets spread over 88 industrially important centres in the country.
