KVK Bandipora holds farmer awareness programme at CA Khan
Srinagar, Sep 24: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bandipora-1, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and allied sectors, organised an awareness programme at Panchayat Ghar Check Arsala Khan (CA Khan) under the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan, part of the Jammu & Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP).

The event saw active participation from progressive farmers, farm women, rural youth, and students. Experts from KVK Bandipora-1, including Dr Bilal Ahmad Zargar and Shabnum Mumtaz, conducted technical sessions on sustainable agriculture, market-oriented production systems, and entrepreneurship opportunities. Sessions emphasised modern technologies to enhance productivity and farm income.
Officials from Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, and Fisheries departments shared detailed information on schemes, input assistance programmes, and capacity-building initiatives under JKCIP and other government projects. Representatives from banks and financial institutions also highlighted credit facilities, subsidy-linked support, and simplified loan procedures for farmers.
