Kangan, Dec 14: The Martyr Rameez Ahmad Baba T-20 Cricket Tournament concluded on a high note with a grand finale at Sheikh-ul-Aalam Stadium, Kangan, as Kunmulla Titans lifted the trophy after an impressive performance in the final.

Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Police to honour the sacrifice of martyr Constable Rameez Ahmad Baba, the tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation and strong community support, blending sporting spirit with a solemn tribute to a fallen hero.

The finale of the tournament was played between Kunmulla Titans and Bhat Brothers Margund, in which the Kunmulla Titans emerged as winners.

SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal was the chief guest on the occasion.  Senior officers, civil society members, respectable citizens, and a large number of youth witnessed the thrilling final match. The family members of Martyr Rameez Ahmad Baba, whose presence added emotional significance to the event. The tournament was organised to commemorate the supreme sacrifices of Jammu & Kashmir Police martyrs, aimed at strengthening police-public relations while promoting sportsmanship and channelling youth energy in a positive direction.

SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal congratulated the finalist teams for showcasing exceptional talent, discipline, and team spirit. He reiterated that such events not only keep alive the memory of the fallen heroes but also encourage youth to pursue sports and stay away from social evils.  Trophies, cash prizes, medals and appreciation certificates were distributed among the winning team (Kunmulla Titans) and runner-up team (Bhat Brothers Margund) for outstanding performances.
