Kulgam district administration felicitates media persons

Kulgam, Oct 3: The District Administration Kulgam on Friday felicitated the media persons from various media houses on the culmination of the Seva Parv campaign for providing extensive coverage of programmes and other campaigns across the district.

Addressing on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Athar Aamir Khan appreciated the media’s constructive role in highlighting developmental and welfare initiatives as well as public issues.

He said that the media, as the fourth pillar of democracy, promotes transparency, accountability, and serves as a vital link between the administration and the people.

The DC said that the media has the power to create awareness, counter misinformation, and guide communities towards positive change.

He assured full cooperation from the administration and urged media persons to continue reporting with fairness and responsibility.
