KTA welcomes new NC-Congress Government
Srinagar, Oct 10: The Kashmir Trade Alliance (KTA) has extended a warm welcome to the newly elected National Conference-Congress coalition government and Chief Minister-designate Omar Abdullah. In a statement released today, the business community expressed optimism about the incoming administration's potential to address long-standing economic challenges in the region.
Aijaz Shahdhar, President of the KTA, conveyed the alliance's congratulations, stating, "We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the new government and are hopeful that they will work for redressing the issues of the business community who are facing a plethora of problems." Shahdhar emphasised the high expectations placed on the Omar Abdullah-led government, citing their local roots as a potential advantage in understanding and addressing the region's economic issues. "We have high expectations of the Omar Abdullah-led government. Being locals, they are fully aware of the problems confronting our economy and will work for its betterment," he remarked.
The KTA president further elaborated on the business community's aspirations, saying, "The new government has inherited a complex economic landscape. We believe their familiarity with our unique challenges positions them well to implement targeted solutions that can reinvigorate our local economy."
