According to the statement, KTA decried the recent decision to extend the power curtailment schedule by 2.5 hours.

In a statement, Aijaz Shahdhar, President KTA, expressed concerns over the impact of this move on daily life and business operations.

Shahdhar argued that instead of resorting to extended power cuts, the government should consider purchasing additional power from the Northern grid to fulfil the local power demand.

In addition to opposing the power curtailment extension, Shahdhar urged the LG administration to announce a power amnesty for commercial consumers. He highlighted the potential benefits of such a move, stating, "It would be a win-win situation for both the government and consumers, as the government would generate revenue, and consumers would be relieved of pending liabilities."
