KPDCL urges consumers to revise power agreements as per actual load
Srinagar, March 1: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has urged the consumers to revise their power agreements as per actual load.
In recent social media posts ahead of Ramadhan, KPDCL said that the inspections being conducted by their teams are not meant to harass anyone but to sensitise the public on responsible use of energy.
The KPDCL also urged people to avoid hooking in metered areas. “Don’t switch on all load at the same time,” it said, asking people to revise “your agreement as per actual load.”
Meanwhile, authorities have also assured that they would provide a smooth power supply in Ramadhan.
PDD is mulling to reduce power cuts during the holy month of Ramadhan which will begin tomorrow with several media reports quoting officials saying that they will try to reduce the power curtailment at Sheri and Iftari times.
Officials have said that the PDD has already reduced the power curtailment that has been in effect during the middle of winters and those areas that are facing extra curtailment, there the department will “try to minimise it further at Sehri and Iftar time.”
