KPDCL announces power shutdown

Srinagar, Oct 15: According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, to carry out the construction of 33KV Pulwama 2nd Circuit under Phase II from 160 MVA GIS Lassipora, the shutdown of 132/ 33 KV GIS Lassipora (160 MVA) would be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Pulwama, Pinglena, MM Flour Mill, COVID Hospital and Tenghaar would remain off while the power supply to the areas that would be affected include Pulwama, Tahab, Koil, Pinglena and Tenghar from 10 am to 5 pm on October 17, 19, 21, and 23.

An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that to carry out the augmentation of the 33 KV Pampore Pulwama line, the shutdown of AIS Pampore (200 MVA) would be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Station at Kadlabal would remain off while power supply to the Kadlabal Pampore area would remain affected from 10 am to 5 pm on October 16.

Also, to carry out the erection of poles in the 11 KV Moshwara feeder (segregation and reconductoring works) under RDSS works, the shutdown of AIS Kanipora (2x50 MVA) would be observed due to which 33/11KV receiving stations at Kanipora, Keller, and Shadimarg would remain off while power supply to the Keller, Shadimarg, Moshwara, and Kanipora areas would remain affected from 10 am to 5 pm on October 17 and 19.

Further, to carry out looping of trees, branch cutting and other preventive maintenance works of various 33 KV lines, the shutdown of Shariefabad Grid Station would be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Zainakote, Shalteng, and Bakshipora would remain off while power supply to the Zainakote, Shalteng, and Bakshipora areas would remain affected from 9 am to 5 pm on October 16.

The shutdown of Wanganpora Grid Station would be observed due to which 33/11KV receiving stations at S H Pora, M R Gunj, Shreen Bagh, Kawdara, and Mughal Masjid would remain off while power supply to the S H Pora, M R Gunj, Shreen Bagh, Kawdara and Mughal Masjid areas would remain affected from 9 am to 5 pm on October 19.

The shutdown of Bemina Grid Station would be observed due to which 33/11KV receiving stations at JVC, PC Depot, SKIMS-JVC, and Children Hospital would remain off while power supply to the Bemina, Parimpora, Children Hospital, and JVC areas would remain affected from 9 am to 5 pm on October 20.

The shutdown of Bemina Grid Station would be observed due to which 33/11KV receiving stations at Bemina I, Bemina II, Moominabad Court Complex, and GIS Batmaloo would remain off while power supply to the Bemina, Moominabad Court Complex and Batmaloo areas would remain affected from 9 am to 5 pm on October 20, 2024.

The shutdown of Bemina Grid Station would be observed due to which 33/11KV receiving stations at Karan Nagar and Shalistore would remain off while power supply to the Karan Nagar area would remain affected from 9 am to 5 pm on October 19.

The shutdown of Wanganpora Grid Station will be observed due to which 33/11KV receiving stations at Safakadal and Wanganpora will remain off while power supply to the Safakadal and Wanganpora areas shall remain affected from 9 am to 5 pm on October 17.

To carry out the shifting of the 33 KV line at Thune and stabilisation branch cutting along the 33 KV Gurez Line, the shutdown of Potshahi Grid Station would be observed due to which 33/11KV receiving stations at Gurez, Peerbaba, Tragbal, and NHPC would remain off while power supply to Gurez would remain affected from 10 am to 3 pm on October 16 and 19.

The shutdown of Kangan Grid Station would be observed due to which 33/11KV receiving station at Surfraw would remain off while the power supply to Gagangeer, Sonamarg, and Surfraw areas would remain affected from 10 am to 3 pm on October 17.

To carry out branch cutting, the shutdown of Kulgam Grid Station would be observed due to which 33/11KV receiving station at Nillow would remain off while power supply to the Nillow, Arreh, Begam, Sehpora, and Mohdpora areas would remain affected from 10 am to 2 pm on October 16.

Also, to carry out improvement and stabilisation of the line from Aishmuqam to RMU Pahalgam by way of replacement of poles with damaged pole tops, the shutdown of 132/33 KV Gopalpora Grid Station would be observed due to which 33/11KV receiving stations at Pahalgam, GIS Pahalgam, and Batkoot would remain off while the power supply to the Powerhouse, Army, Hospital Pahalgam A, B, and C Batkoot, Laddi, and Yenner areas will be affected from 10 am to 4 pm on October 16, 19, and 23.

To carry out the reconductoring of 33 KV Alusteng Zakura Line from 0.1 ACSR to 0.2 ACSR, the shutdown of Alusteng Grid Station would be observed due to which 33/11KV receiving station at Umerhair would remain off while the power supply to the Ahmednagar, Baspora (partially), and Umerhair areas would remain affected from 11 am to 4 pm on October 19 and 22.
