KPDCL announces power shutdown in Kashmir parts

Srinagar, June 02: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) today announced power shutdown in several parts of Kashmir division.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out permanent restoration of power supply by way of erection of 13 mtr long ST Poles on 33 KV  Budgam Ichgam line at village Kulbug, shutdown of 33 KV Budgam Ichgam line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Ichgam, Choon, Kanir & Hanjura shall remain off while power supply to Ichgam, Ichkoot, Choon, Bubagh, Razvain, Kanir, Hushur, Wagam, Zuhama, Hanjoora, Dadompora and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM on 11 June, 2025.

Similarly to facilitate works of stabilization / branch cutting and necessary maintenance works of the 33 KV Ichgam NKC Tapline, the shutdown of 33 KV Ichgam NKC Tapline shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Station at NKC shall remain off while power supply to NKC (Only for Office) will be affected from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM on 06 June, 2025.

Also to carry out repairing of tapping frame of Sainik School Tap line and other stabilization works at Receiving Station Kurhama, the shutdown of 33 KV Badampora-Kurhama line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Kurhama, Dab, GCET, Sainik School shall remain off while power supply to Kurhama, Youngpora, Dab, Sainik School, GCET, Safapora, Baroosa, Baba Salina, Rabitar, Kondbal and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 04 June, 2025.
