Kia India unveils EV6 at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025
New Delhi, Jan 18: Kia India, a leading mass premium carmaker, today unveiled the new EV6 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, announcing the immediate opening of bookings for the electric vehicle.
The updated EV6 features an enhanced ADAS 2.0 package, expanding its safety suite to 27 advanced driver assistance features. The five new additions include improved Forward Collision Avoidance (FCA) systems with City/Pedestrian/Cyclist/Junction Turning capabilities, Junction Crossing, Lane Change Assist with Oncoming & Side detection, Evasive Steering, and Lane Follow Assist (LFA).
These safety enhancements, derived from Kia's flagship EV9 model, incorporate improvements in collision safety, structural rigidity, and occupant protection. The technology transfer from the EV9 is particularly noteworthy, as the flagship model recently won the World Car of the Year 2024 award.
The EV9, Kia's premium electric SUV, features a 99.8 kWh battery delivering a range of up to 561 kilometers on a single charge. Its ultra-fast charging capability enables the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes when using a 350kW DC charger.
At the Bharat Mobility pavilion, Kia India is also showcasing its broader product range, including the newly introduced Kia Syros. The company's display emphasizes its commitment to combining global technology with luxurious design and sustainable engineering, supporting India's vision for an innovative transportation ecosystem.
