Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League 2025 set to return with 19-match line-up

Srinagar, May 9: Kashmir’s marquee football extravaganza — the Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League 2025 — is set to return with a power-packed edition featuring six corporate teams, 19 high-voltage matches, and new partners including Athwas Hyundai and official ball partner Nivia.

As per a statement issued, with a revamped format and ISL-standard match balls, the league promises to raise the bar for football in the Valley like never before.

This season is poised to be the biggest and most competitive yet, uniting football fans across the valley in a thrilling display of sport, spirit, and local pride.

This year’s edition will feature six formidable teams battling it out across 19 high-octane matches in a format designed to deliver maximum excitement and fierce competition with 6 corporate participating teams.

Tournament Format:

The tournament will kick off with a round-robin league stage, where each team plays against every other team once — totalling 15 matches. The top four teams from the league stage will qualify for the playoffs, which will include:

Qualifier 1 (1st place vs 2nd place)

Eliminator (3rd place vs 4th place)

Qualifier 2 (Loser of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Eliminator)

Grand Finale (Winner of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Qualifier 2)

A Game-Changer for Valley Football:

In a historic first for the league, all matches will feature the newly launched Nivia official match ball, the same high-performance ball used in the Indian Super League (ISL). This major upgrade in equipment signals a new era of professionalism and competitiveness in the Kashmir Super League.
