Khyber Cement bags top honours for Sustainable Mining, Environmental Leadership
Srinagar, Jun 20: Khyber Cement has earned top accolades at the 34th Mines and Mineral Conservation Week, organised by the Indian Bureau of Mines (Dehradun Region), reaffirming its leadership in sustainable mining and environmental stewardship.
A statement said that the company was awarded first place in Mineral Conservation and Reclamation & Rehabilitation, while also securing third place in Sustainable Development and Overall Performance. These recognitions underscore Khyber Cement’s unwavering commitment to environmentally responsible practices, innovation, and meaningful community engagement.
The honours were received by Riaz Tramboo, Director of Operations, and Myser Ahmed Khan, Chief of Mines, both of whom have played key roles in aligning the company’s operations with the highest national benchmarks.
