Keran has great prospect for border tourism: Sajad Lone

Kupwara, Sep 25: Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone Wednesday reiterated that Keran valley has got great prospect for border tourism but the local leaders belonging to a particular political party have exploited masses here.

Lone was campaigning for his party’s candidate Advocate Bashir Ahmad Dar in Keran area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. He said that some local leaders were frightening his workers which according to him was uncalled for and intolerable.

While slamming previous dispensations, he said that people in Keran have been grappling with lack of basic amenities. While referring to deteriorated health sector in Keran, he said that people were suffering badly. He said that even a gynecologist was not available in Keran thus exposing the claims of better health facilities in remote areas.

He said that even roads in Keran Sector were in dilapidated condition thus giving tough time to the commuters. He questioned that why people in Keran have been deprived of basic amenities. Lone asked people to make those accountable who were responsible for the sufferings of people.

PC Chairman said that if his party’s candidate Bashir Ahmad Dar wins on October 8, there will be an end to the miseries of people. He sought vote and support from people in favour of his party’s candidate.
