Kejriwal, AAP govt shielding terrorists, gangsters : Tarun Chugh
Chandigarh, Dec 5: BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today alleged that AAP convener Arvind Kejriwaland his government is shielding terrorists and gangsters.
In a statement, he came down heavily Kejriwal for seeing a conspiracy angle in the assassination attempt on former deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal saying that AAP leader was trying to deflect the gravity of the law and order situation in Punjab.
Chugh said in fact Kejriwal is trying to cover up the dismal failure of the AAP government to maintain law and order in Punjab following which hardcore radicals and gangsters have been having a field day in the state.
BJP recalled how Kejriwal had spent days and nights with militants in Punjab during the course of his election campaign in 2017. He said Kejriwal's connect with militants was exposed during his Moga visit when he stayed at the house of a militant.
“It exposed his and his party's strong links with the Punjab militants. Punjab today is shocked by the behind-the-stage activities of the Bhagwant Mann government which is guided by Kejriwal's vision of supporting gangsters and militants,” he said.
Chugh reiterated his demand for a CBI or NIA investigation into the incident to expose the failures of the AAP government in maintaining law and order in Punjab and causing a threat to even those who are having Z plus security. He wondered what would be the fate of the common man if such conspiracies are allowed to grow in Punjab under the AAP government rule.
