KCCI executive committee elections scheduled for Sep 22 deferred

Srinagar, Sep 20: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) has informed its members that the elections for the Executive Committee, originally scheduled for Monday, September 22, 2025, have been deferred.

As per the statement issued by the chamber, the decision follows communication from the Deputy Magistrate, Srinagar (No: DCS/ADC(PS)/Misc/2025-26/6084-92, dated 20-09-2025), and consequently, there will be no voting on the previously scheduled date.

The polling was to be held at the Kashmir Government Arts Emporium, with 30 candidates contesting for 21 positions on the Executive Committee.

Faiz Ahmad Bakshi, Secretary General of KCCI, in his official statement, informed members about the deferment and urged them to await further communication regarding the revised election schedule.
