KCCI calls on LG Sinha; discusses business-related issues
Srinagar, Oct 14; A delegation from the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), led by President Javed Ahmad Tenga, met with Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan on Saturday.
The delegation congratulated him on successfully conducting free and fair elections for the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
During the meeting, the KCCI team discussed various issues, including general trade, handicrafts, industry, tourism, and the one-time settlement of NPA (Non-Performing Asset) accounts, with a focus on increasing the cap and extending the repayment timeline. Lt. Governor Sinha assured the delegation that their concerns would be considered positively.
President Javed Ahmad Tenga expressed gratitude to the Lt. Governor for consistently meeting with the KCCI whenever approached to address trade-related issues.
Earlier, the KCCI team also visited Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah to congratulate them on their success in the recently held elections to the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly. The Chamber expressed optimism that once the new government assumes office, it will prioritize addressing business-related concerns.
In addition, the KCCI held a meeting with the Group of Concerned Citizens, including Radha Kumar, Kapil Kak, and Wajahat Habibullah, at the Chamber office. The discussion focused on trade, commerce, industry, tourism, handicrafts, agriculture, and development, along with the current status and expectations from the incoming government.
