KCCI applauds IICT Srinagar lab's NABL accreditation in textile testing

Srinagar, Jan 3: Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has expressed satisfaction over the Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT) Srinagar lab becoming the First Accredited Textile Testing Laboratory of Jammu & Kashmir.

A statement said that KCCI considers it to be a historic milestone as it will accord due credibility and recognition to the testing facility being provided by the Institute in line with National and International Quality Standards. The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce has a close association with IICT, Srinagar and played a big role in its development and expansion.

"On this occasion, the KCCI expresses appreciation to its Director Zubair Ahmad, Government of India, Jammu & Kashmir Government and officials of the institute for their role for getting the Institute Accredited. This status of the IICT will greatly benefit the manufacturers/Exporters of Kashmir Handmade products. It is hoped that the IICT will grow from strength to strength for which the KCCI will continue to play its active role."
