Katra, Jun 11: The Chamber of Tourism Trade and Industry Katra (CTTIK), in collaboration with UCO Bank Wednesday organised an insightful MSME carnival session aimed at empowering local entrepreneurs and enhancing financial literacy among stakeholders of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.

K Preethi, Deputy General Manager of UCO Bank was the chief guest and keynote speaker on the occasion. She was joined by Rahul Ranjan, zonal manager, who attended as guest of honour, and senior bank officials Jai Bhushan Parmoria, Deputy General Manager and Rohit Gupta.

Both of them shared practical insights on banking schemes, credit support and the evolving role of MSMEs in regional economic development.

Also present on the occasion were J S Negi, Vikas Kumar, Deepesh Kumar and Harsh Vardhan, all chief managers of UCO Bank, whose participation added significant value to the proceedings.

The session saw enthusiastic participation from industry stakeholders, entrepreneurs, delegates, media representatives, and members of CTTIK.

Raj Kumar Padha, president of CTTIK, in his welcome address, emphasised the importance of maintaining financial discipline and a healthy CIBIL score which serves as a vital tool in availing enterprise funding.

He also lauded UCO Bank for offering tailor-made financial solutions to suit the needs of the hospitality sector in J&K and particularly of Katra.

Earlier, the chief guest Preethi and other dignitaries were ceremoniously felicitated by CTTIK office bearers with the traditional offering of “Mata Ki Chunari” in alignment with the spiritual and cultural heritage of the region.

The MSME carnival was envisioned as a platform for local business leaders to interact with financial and policy experts and to highlight the essential role MSMEs play as the backbone of the Indian economy.

“The event reflected CTTIK’s continued commitment to serving as a bridge between entrepreneurs and policymakers enabling grassroots businesses to access timely information, guidance and support,” CTTIK spokesperson said.

The vote of thanks was presented by Atul Sharma secretary of CTTIK while the proceedings of the session were ably conducted by Nishant Gupta, Manager UCO Bank Katra.

Among others who were present on the occasion were prominent members of the business and social fraternity including Shiv Kumar Sharma; Ashok Kumar Padha; Kuldeep Kesar; Sham Badu; Raman Goswami; Ramnik Sharma; Manav Sanmotra; Neelam Singh; Rattan Sharma; Vivek Gupta; Jagdev Singh; Raj Kumar Dubey; Shagun Padha; Manohar Singh and Rameshwar Sharma.

The event concluded on a high note with a shared resolve to strengthen and uplift the MSME ecosystem in the region through collective efforts and collaboration.
