Kathua Encounter: Security forces Extend Search Operation to Adjoining Rajouri

Srinagar, April 02: In extension of the ongoing anti-militant operation in Kathua, security forces have on Wednesday started searches in adjoining Rajouri district.

Officials said that security forces have launched a massive search operation in Siya Badrai area of Sunderbani in Rajouri district.

"The personnel from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, and the Indian Army have conducted searches in the forests and vacant houses of nomadic people in the area," the officials said.

Pertinent to mention here that Siya Badrai area borders Reasi district, where militants had attacked a bus returning from Shiv Khori in June 2024. (KB)
