Kashmiri youth leader Arhan Bagati wins global award for social impact

Srinagar, Aug 8: Kashmiri youth changemaker and public policy scholar Arhan Bagati has been honoured with the prestigious ET Indo Global Leaders Award in the Excellence in Social Impact category, recognising his work through KYARI (Kashmir’s Yumberzal Applied Research Institute). The award was presented at a ceremony in Al Habtoor Palace, Dubai, by actor and philanthropist Kunal Kapoor.

Currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy at Harvard University, Bagati was recognised for his grassroots initiatives in Jammu & Kashmir focused on inclusive development, sustainable tourism, tribal welfare, drug abuse prevention, and support for women-led enterprises. As KYARI’s founder, he has collaborated with local communities and policy stakeholders to address systemic issues and promote social cohesion in the region.
