Kashmiri Pandits lead protest in Delhi after Pahalgam terrorist attack
New Delhi, Apr 24: In the wake of the brutal killing of 26 tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, hundreds of Kashmiri Pandits and concerned citizens gathered at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Wednesday, demanding urgent government action. Organised by various community groups, the protest reflected widespread anger over what demonstrators described as the targeted killings across the country, from Kashmir to Manipur and Tamil Nadu.
Protesters urged the Government of India to declare Pakistan a terrorist state and suspend all diplomatic and economic ties with Islamabad.
Prominent voices at the protest included Vithal Chowdhary of Youth 4 Panun Kashmir, Amit Raina of Roots in Kashmir, Sumeer Chrungoo of Kashmiri Samiti Delhi, and Kamal Hak of Panun Kashmir. Together, they issued a joint call for the immediate protection and relocation of PM Package employees working in Kashmir, citing increasing threats to their safety.
