Srinagar, July 11: A Kashmiri doctor is among two Indians who have been granted citizenship in Saudi Arabia, in line with ‘Saudi Vision 2030’ to retain exceptional creative minds.

Dr Shamim Ahmad Butt who hails from Khan Sahib area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district and Faraz Khalid are among the first recipients who have been granted Saudi citizenship after a royal decree was issued on Thursday, July 4, reported Siasat news portal.

Bhat, Deputy Head of the Emergency Department at King Saud Medical City, Riyadh, is accredited by the Saudi Commission as a resident of the Saudi Council of Emergency Medicine.
