Karra said that no amount of compensation could do justice to the family and minimize the shock and grief of the mother, young wife and others.

“However, the police have given a clean chit regarding the antecedents of the victim. In such circumstances, a judicial probe, besides arrest of culprits, should be ordered and FIR under relevant provisions should be registered,” Karra demanded.

Raman Bhalla also shared the grief and pain of the family while condemning the killing.

He shared the concern of the society against, what he alleged, “such irresponsible and illegal action of the police” and reiterated demand for a probe into the incident and appropriate legal action in the matter.

Shah Nawaz said such a culture was not tolerable and guilty should be punished in accordance with law of land. He also demanded a judicial probe into the incident.

JKPCC leaders prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear the loss.
