Kargil police organise bike rally

Kargil, Aug 13: District Police Kargil organised “Har Ghar Tiranga” bike rally to Kargil War Memorial, Drass today.

The rally, which began from the District Police Line (DPL) Kargil, culminated at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass. The event was officially flagged off by SSP Kargil, Shree Ram. On this occasion police officials, including SP Mujeeb- ur- Rehman, DSP Headquarters Nitin Yadav IPS, DSP DAR Stanzin Dorji, and SHO Kargil, Sadat Kacho were also present.

This rally led by DySP Nitin Yadav was part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, was designed to honour the heroes of the 1999 Kargil War and to reinforce the spirit of patriotism within the region. Senior police officials, SDM Drass, SHO Wakha starzin and the Incharge Police Chowki Kargil Noorbo participated in the rally.

Upon reaching the Kargil War Memorial, the participants paid a solemn tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil War. More than 50 Pulsar bikes, ridden by police officers and civilians, took part in this event. This event not only commemorated the bravery of the Kargil War heroes but also highlighted the ongoing efforts by the District Police Kargil to promote national unity and patriotism in the region.
