Uri, Feb 10: In an exciting development for adventure enthusiasts, Kangri Josh, in collaboration with Pirpanjal Adventure Club, has inaugurated the Sunday Treks initiative in North Kashmir.
The first trek, which took trekkers on a scenic journey from Gharkote to Bayan Behak in Uri, saw participation from nearly 30 trekkers from across the Kashmir Valley.
The journey, as per a release issued on Monday, was filled with breathtaking landscapes and snow-covered mountains and proved to be an adventurous experience for all. The initiative aims to promote trekking culture in the region while exploring the unexplored beauty of Uri.
The organisers extended their gratitude to Kaysons Uri for being the official food partner and providing refreshments to all trekkers. Additionally, they thanked the voice of LOC Uri and Radio Uri for their support as media partners in covering the event.
Notably, local content creator FLV Farhan Lone, who initiated Kangri Josh, and Saad Lone, who is the founder of Pirpanjal adventure club Uri, emphasised the significance of commercialising adventure activities in Uri. Through this initiative, he envisions making Uri a hub for trekking and outdoor adventures, drawing enthusiasts from across the valley.
