Kabaddi, Handball camp opens in Rajouri
Rajouri, Aug 11: The Department of Youth Services and Sports on Monday launched a multi-day Kabaddi and Handball camp at the Mini Stadium Sports Complex in Rajouri, drawing participants from all age groups in a bid to boost fitness, foster community ties and spread awareness about a drug-free lifestyle.
As per a statement, under the dedicated supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO) Baljarallan, Wali Mohd, the first day witnessed enthusiastic participation, spirited matches, and skill-building sessions that set the tone for the days ahead.
This camp also serves as a preparatory platform for the upcoming Divisional Level Tournament, providing athletes with the opportunity to refine their techniques, build team synergy, and gain competitive exposure. The department remains committed to nurturing talent that will represent Rajouri with pride.
Aligned with the national mission of a Drug-Free India (Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan), the camp integrates awareness activities to educate participants about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
