Jyotsna Singh appointed member of INTACH’s HCCD Advisory Committee
Jammu, July 3: Dr Jyotsna Singh, Director of the Amar Mahal Museum & Library, Jammu, has been appointed Member of the Heritage Craft and Community Division (HCCD) Advisory Committee of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH).
A noted cultural activist and heritage conservationist, Dr. Singh is also the founder of the acclaimed Tawi Festival, which celebrates the rich cultural traditions of the Jammu region. She is the daughter of Dr. Karan Singh, former Sadr-e-Riyasat of Jammu and Kashmir.
The appointment was confirmed in an official communication from INTACH, which stated that the HCCD Advisory Committee has been reconstituted as of May 7.
Dr Singh’s appointment as a Member of the prestigious committee reflects her significant contributions to the promotion and preservation of art, culture, and heritage in Jammu & Kashmir and beyond.
As a Member of the Advisory Committee, she will play a vital role in providing expert advice and guidance to further INTACH’s mission of protecting India’s heritage crafts and promoting meaningful community engagement.
