Junior Women's Swimming Series | Vanshika of MCS Pathankot creates history
Jammu, Apr 9: Junior Women's Swimming Series Round 2, held from March 28 to 30 in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, witnessed the remarkable achievements of Vanshika, a student of Montessori Cambridge School, Pathankot.
A statement issued by school management said that she secured the first position in the 200-meter freestyle, second position in the 200-meter butterfly and second place in the 200-meter individual medley, along with clinching the third spot in the 100-meter butterfly.
For her outstanding performance, she was rewarded with a Rs 20,000 prize from Khelo India and an additional Rs 20,000 from the Haryana government. On this significant occasion, Principal Rashmi Ahluwalia, chairman Vinod Mahajan and Vice Chairman Akash Mahajan extended heartfelt congratulations to Vanshika and her family, They wished her continued success in future competitions.
“Our students have excelled on numerous occasions in both national and international arenas in previous years. Some notable names include Avni Chhabra, who was selected to represent India at the BRICS Sports 2023 event. Nominated by the Swimming Federation of India (SFI), she is prepared to bring glory to her country,” school management stated in the official statement.
“Moreover, our students have clinched several medals in national games and showcased outstanding performances in various national and international competitions. These achievements not only enhance the prestige of our school but also underscore the relentless efforts and unique talents of our students,” the statement said.
