Join hands for well-being of children: Qayoom Wani
Srinagar, Nov 14: On the occasion of Children’s Day, Chairman J&K Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) Abdul Qayoom Wani has urged all the stakeholders—parents, teachers, government institutions, and civil society—to join hands for the holistic well-being of the children.
In a statement he said future of any society rests on its young generation. “It is our duty to nurture them with strong moral values, rich in upbringing), and shield them from the growing challenges of modern times,” Wani said.
He stated that children today face serious threats from social evils, particularly drug addiction and the unregulated use of social media. “These issues not only endanger their health but also compromise the ethical foundation of our society,” Wani said. He emphasised the importance of vigilant parenting and the proactive role of teachers in monitoring children’s behavior, both online and offline.
