JLNM Hospital conducts awareness programme on HMPV outbreak

Srinagar, Jan 7: In response to the recent HMPV outbreak in China, JLNM Hospital Srinagar conducted a crucial awareness programme to equip healthcare providers with comprehensive knowledge of the disease.

A statement of JLNM Hospital issued here said that apart from faculties of medicine and allied specialities, the event, attended by around 100 healthcare professionals featured a keynote lecture by Consultant Medicine Dr Naasir Shams while Medical Superintendent JLNM Hospital Dr Muhammad Tariq Jan presided over the programme.

Interactive discussions and expert insights helped clarify doubts and emphasised the importance of precautions, mass awareness, and preparedness.

The experts reassured the audience that unnecessary panic was unwarranted, but vigilance was essential.
