Jammu, Oct 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) marked a significant presence at 28th edition of the CII Chandigarh Fair 2025, held from October 10 to 13 at Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh.

The Fair was inaugurated by Minister of Industries & Commerce, Investment Promotion, NRI Affairs & Power, Government of Punjab, Sanjeev Arora, said an official press release.  The event served as a vibrant platform to highlight Jammu & Kashmir’s cultural legacy and exquisite craftsmanship, leaving an indelible mark on visitors.

Under the guidance of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary and active support of Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce, JKTPO facilitated and sponsored the participation of 25 exhibitors from the Union Territory in the Fair, it addded.

The showcased products from J&K included Luxurious Pashmina shawls and stoles, renowned for their softness and warmth, exquisite handwoven carpets, symbolising the region’s timeless weaving traditions, world-famous Kashmiri saffron, celebrated for its unparalleled quality and aroma, renowned agricultural delights like Rajmash, Honey, and Spices, horticultural treasures including Apples, Walnuts, and Almonds and intricately hand-embroidered garments reflecting authentic Kashmiri artistry.

The J&K Pavilion, designed to emphasise the authenticity, purity, and natural advantage of the Union Territory’s offerings, became a major attraction at the fair. The pavilion drew significant footfall, with visitors from diverse backgrounds eager to explore the vibrant array of handcrafted products and traditional specialties showcased by JKTPO.

Minister of Industries & Commerce, Investment Promotion, NRI Affairs & Power, Government of Punjab, also visited the J&K pavilion, commending the rich diversity of products and the spirit of innovation on display—testament to the region’s vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Visitors to the JKTPO stall had the opportunity to not only witness these exquisite products but also to engage with the artisans themselves. The stories behind each creation and the dedication of the craftspeople were shared with enthusiasm, creating a unique and immersive experience for attendees.
