The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) organised a day-long conference on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at Government Degree College (GDC) Baramulla, aimed at charting a roadmap for achieving policy deliverables and aligning academic institutions with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The conference witnessed the wide participation of teachers from across Kashmir. On the occasion, the newly elected JKTF district president for Baramulla, Faizan Ahmad Peer, was felicitated.

Director School Education Kashmir Naseer Ahmad Wani, Chairman JKTF Mohammad Shafi Rather, Joint Director (North) Hakeem Tanveer and other dignitaries attended the event. Speakers appreciated the JKTF leadership for organising the conference and said such initiatives reinforce commitment towards building a better future for school-going children.

Emphasising the slogan “Child is the Priority,” speakers said it must reflect in classroom conduct and that children’s rights should be safeguarded at all times. They described teachers as key reformers of society and stressed collective responsibility in implementing NEP-2020 to make learners future-ready.

Provincial President JKTF Javid Ahmad Bhat underlined the need for educators to adapt to the changing landscape of educational technology and effectively use it to enhance teaching-learning outcomes. The conference was moderated by Riyaz Ahmad Rabbani.
