JKSA writes to EAM to secure Kashmir engineer’s release from jail in Saudi Arabia
Srinagar, Feb 03: Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) on Monday said they have written to External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar to secure release of a Kashmiri engineer jailed in Saudi Arabia.
“We have written to the Union External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar Ji, seeking his intervention regarding a Kashmiri engineer Abdul Rafi Baba facing an uncertain fate in a Saudi Arabia jail,” the JKSA chairman, Nasir Kheuhami said on X.
“We have requested him to explore all diplomatic channels to secure Baba’s release, ensure a fair trial, and facilitate his repatriation at the earliest,” he said.
Notably, Greater Kashmir had reported about the jailing of the Kashmiri engineer and his elderly father’s struggle to secure his release.
