Srinagar, May 3: The Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) on Saturday said that two of its promising cricketers, Abdul Basit Lone and Janvi Rajput, have earned selections for national-level camps, marking a proud moment for J&K’s cricketing fraternity.

As per a statement issued, Abdul Basit Lone, a skilled fast bowler who was earlier part of the U-19 Boys Elite Camp 2025 conducted by the BCCI at the Centre of Excellence (CoE), Bengaluru, has been selected for the Inter CoE U-19 Boys Tournament, which is set to be held from 6th to 16th May, 2025.

In addition to being a fairly quick bowler, Abdul Basit Lone is also a hard-hitting batter. In five matches this season, he has claimed 14 wickets while maintaining an impressive economy rate of 3.62.

The statement adds that Janvi Rajput, a promising medium pacer, has been selected by the Women's Selection Committee of the BCCI for the U-15 Girls High Performance Camp. The camp will be conducted at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru from 16th May to 9th June, 2025.

In the previous season, Janvi Rajput picked up 9 wickets across 5 matches, maintaining a commendable economy rate of 3.09.
