JKRTC Board of Directors reconstituted

Jammu, May 27: The government has reconstituted the Board of Directors of J&K Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC).

“In pursuance to Sub Section (2) and (3) of Section 5 of the Road Transport Corporation Act, 1950, sanction is hereby accorded to the re-constitution of Board of Directors of J&K Road Transport Corporation,” read an order issued by General Administration Department (GAD).

As per the order, R R Bhatnagar, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor, J&K will be the chairman of the Board of Directors while the Administrative Secretary, Finance Department will be the vice chairman.

Administrative Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department; Administrative Secretary, Transport Department; Administrative Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department and Chief Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Department, Kashmir and Tapan Kumar Das, Under Secretary (a representative of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India) will be the directors.

Managing Director, J&K Road Transport Corporation will be the director cum member secretary.
