JKPCC chief Karra to contest from Central Shalteng

Srinagar, Sep 02: The Central Election Committee (CEC) of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Monday announced its list of candidates, contesting Phase II of assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir.

The list, which was approved by AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal said that the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief Tariq Hameed Karra would contest elections from 26-Shalteng Assembly segment.

“Tariq Hameed Karra will contest from 26-Shalteng; Mumtaz Khan from 57-Reasi; Bhupender Jamwal from 58-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi; Iftikhar Ahmed from 85-Rajouri (ST); Shabir Ahmad Khan from 87-Thannamandi (ST); and Muhammad Shahnawaz Choudhary from 88-Surankote (ST),” the list mentioned.
