JKP cop ‘shoots self to death’ in Jammu

Jammu, Feb 4: A Selection Grade Constable Sunday allegedly shot himself to death with his service rifle inside police station Nawabad in Jammu city.

Officials identified the deceased Constable as Iqbal Hussain, a resident of Poonch, who, they alleged, “presumably used his service rifle, as per preliminary investigation, to take this extreme step as he was found dead with a bullet injury inside the police station late Saturday night.” “Investigation was taken up to find out the reason behind his extreme step,” they added.
