JKNC forms election committee for Ganderbal

Srinagar, Aug 28: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) on Wednesday said it has formed an election committee ahead of polls in Ganderbal. JKNC said the committee has been formed to ensure smooth coordination.

The 19-member committee would be chaired by JKNC leader Sheikh Gayas-U-Din.

"As approved by the President of JKNC, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, and in view of the forthcoming assembly election to be held in Ganderbal, it has been deemed necessary to place the District Committee of JKNC in abeyance with immediate effect," JKNC wrote on its official X-handle.

Adding, consequently, an election committee for the Ganderbal assembly constituency has been constituted for smooth coordination, as follows:
