Srinagar, Nov 27: The intensive two-month Secretariat Assistants Training Course (SATC) for Senior and Junior Assistants, held at the J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (JKIMPARD) campus in Srinagar, concluded on Thursday.

Ninety trainees deputed from various departments attended the said training course.

The program, which commenced in September 2025, was designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of government assistants in various official procedures and e-governance.

The objective of the training was to familiarize participants with the J&K Manual of Secretariat Procedures, Civil Services Regulations, GFR, Budget Manual, Classification Control and Appeal Rules, and J&K Employees Conduct Rules, IT, alongside imparting essential computer skills for effective public service delivery.

The course also prepared trainees to confidently appear in the departmental examination conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission for career progression.

The valedictory function was presided over by the Director Trainings, Kashmir, Jahan Ara Jabeen, who emphasised the critical role of such training programs play in upgrading administrative efficiency and ensuring quality governance.

Highlighting the significance of continuous learning, she urged the participants to apply the acquired skills diligently in their respective departments.

Associate Professor and Course Director, B A Kumar, provided an overview of the rigorous training modules and acknowledged the trainees for their dedication throughout the course.

Certificates of successful completion were awarded to all participants, who were then directed to rejoin their departments with renewed commitment and enhanced expertise.

The valedictory event was attended by the entire faculty of J&K IMPARD, marking the successful completion of a pivotal capacity-building initiative aimed at strengthening the administrative framework of J&K.
