JKEEGA rues delay in regularisation of PDD engineers

Srinagar, Sep 6: The JKEEGA delegation led by its President Er Pirzada Hidayatullah met Chief Secretary Atal Duloo at Srinagar Secretariat wherein delay in regularisation of PDD engineers was brought into notice of Chief Secretary.

Briefing about the serious issue of non regularisation of engineers in PDD and its consequences , Er Pirzada Hiyatullah said that due to non regularisation, engineers after putting in decades of service retire in the grade pay of JE or AE which is demoralising and has led to demotivation among the cadre. It was also briefed that after strenuous efforts by power engineers , SAC in 2019 accorded approval for regularisation of engineers of PDD within 2 months time back then, but since 2019 only a handful of retired engineers have been regularised.

"LG's Secretariat after noticing slow pace in regularisation of PDD engineers sought an action taken report regarding the matter and afterwards one proposal of regularisation around 250 engineers was moved. However the same has not been approved till date due to non settlement of queries."

JKEEGA were assured due consideration regarding finalising regularisation of engineers of PDD.
