Srinagar, May 5: A delegation from the Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA), led by President Er Pirzada Hidaytullah, met with Chief Secretary Mr. Atal Dulloo at the Srinagar Secretariat today. The delegation expressed strong dissatisfaction regarding the non-issuance of minutes from a regularisation meeting held on January 20.

Despite more than three months having elapsed since the meeting, the minutes have yet to be released, raising significant concerns among association members. The delegation informed the Chief Secretary that the Administrative Secretary of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department appears to be deliberately withholding the minutes for undisclosed reasons while continuing to make unilateral departmental decisions.

"This administrative delay is forcing us to consider protest actions in the near future," Er Hidaytullah stated during the meeting. "We don't wish to resort to such measures, but the continued inaction leaves us with few alternatives."

The delegation also highlighted critical staffing shortages within the Power Development Department (PDD), noting numerous vacancies at key positions including Executive Engineers, Superintending Engineers, Chief Engineers, and the Managing Director post. They attributed these persistent vacancies to the "non-serious attitude" of the Administrative Department.
