JKEDI, T-Hub join hands to propel J&K startup ecosystem

Jammu, May 18:   Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) and T-Hub, Hyderabad have joined hands to propel the startup ecosystem in the Union Territory of J&K. As part of collaboration, JKEDI hosted an interactive programme aimed at fostering meaningful connections between startups, investors, and incubators at JKEDI Bari Brahmana here.

The initiative marked a significant step in the region's journey towards becoming a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. By partnering with T-Hub, renowned for its expertise in nurturing start-ups and facilitating strategic partnerships, JKEDI aims to provide unparalleled opportunities for budding entrepreneurs in Jammu and Kashmir.

The interaction programme served as a platform for start-ups to showcase their innovative ideas, network with potential investors, and gain insights from seasoned mentors. Through panel discussions, participants had the chance to engage with industry experts, investors, and representatives from leading incubators.

Speaking about the collaboration, Rajinder Kumar Sharma, Director JKEDI, expressed enthusiasm about the potential impact of this partnership and collaboration with T-Hub to accelerate the growth of the startup ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.

“This initiative reflects JKEDI’s commitment to nurture entrepreneurship and fostering innovation in the region. By bringing together startups, investors, and incubators and creating a vibrant ecosystem where ideas thrive and businesses flourish,” said Director JKEDI.

Speaking on the occasion, Akshita Kanthala, Head, Govt and CSR (T-Hub Telangana) CEO, echoed the sentiments, saying, "T-Hub is excited to collaborate with JKEDI to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in Jammu & Kashmir. By leveraging our network and resources, we aim to catalyze the growth of startups and contribute to the region's economic development."

The event was coordinated by the CIIBM, a programme vertical of JKEDI.

This initiative aims to facilitate intellectual growth, skill development, and industry exposure across various domains imperative for startups to grow and materialize. and T-Hub jointly envisages fostering empowerment among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, equipping them with the requisite skills necessary to progress in the dynamic era of entrepreneurship and technology.
