JKEDI conducts Startup Idea Challenge at GDC Women Pulwama
Pulwama, Sep 15: Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Pulwama, hosted a Startup Idea Challenge (Boot Camp) today at Government Degree College (Women), Pulwama, under the J&K Startup Policy 2024–2027.
The event aimed to inspire entrepreneurship, foster innovation, and highlight opportunities within Jammu & Kashmir’s vibrant startup ecosystem.
Presided over by Prof. Dr. Sami Jan, Principal of GDC (Women) Pulwama, the event emphasised the significance of the J&K Startup Policy and the pivotal role of youth in driving regional innovation.
Raiyees Manzoor, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Pulwama, engaged with participants, praising their innovative ideas and urged them to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams with passion.
Syed Gulzar (Associate Professor, Physics), Dr. Tanveer Bilal (Head, Department of Bioresources), Suraya Yousuf (Assistant Professor, Commerce) from GDC Pulwama (Women), and Ansar Ullah Machloo (Head, Centre for Startup Finance, JKEDI), alongside faculty and JKEDI officials were present on the occasion.
The event featured an engaging startup pitching session, where six innovative ideas were registered, and four participants showcased their concepts to a panel of experts. Selected participants were honored and advanced to the next stage of the challenge.
