Srinagar, Mar 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF), under the chairmanship of Abdul Qayoom Wani, expresses deep concern over the recent ban imposed on the Awami Action Committee (AAC) and Jammu and Kashmir Ittehadul Muslimeen (JKIM).

A statement of the JKCSF issued here said that it considers this decision unfortunate and appeals to the government to reconsider the move in the larger interest of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation as a whole.

It said that both the AAC and JKIM had historically played a significant role in promoting education, fostering communal harmony, and contributing to social reformation in the region.
