J&KCEGA hails Govt decision to constitute panel on assured career progression
Srinagar, July 13: Jammu and Kashmir Civil Engineering Graduate Association ( J&KCEGA ) applauded LG administration and Chief Secretary for constituting a committee on Assured Career Progression.
J&KCEGA extended its sincere appreciation and gratitude for establishing a committee to review the Assured Career Progression (ACP) policy for employees in the Union Territory.
"This decision is a testament to the persistent efforts and representations made by J&KCEGA, including a meeting with the Lieutenant Governor last year and a memorandum submitted to the Chief Secretary in February this year. J&KCEGA is optimistic that the government will recognize the dedication and hard work of civil engineers, who are instrumental in the rapid development of J&K."
The ACP policy has been a long-standing demand of engineers, who often face limited career advancement opportunities despite their tireless efforts.
"The association believes that this policy will not only motivate engineers but also enhance their productivity and contribution to the nation's growth. J&KCEGA is particularly enthusiastic about the committee's composition, which includes dynamic officers like Additional Chief Secretary, Shaleen Kabra, IAS, Sanjeev Verma (IAS), and Santosh Vaidya (IAS), who are well-versed with the ground realities and career stagnation of the engineering cadre. The committee is expected to recommend a comprehensive ACP policy that addresses the needs and aspirations of engineers in J&K."
