JKCA U-14 INTER-SCHOOL: JKCA Leopards, DPS Srinagar seal spots in grand finale

Srinagar, Jul 25: JKCA Leopards and Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar stormed into the finals of the first-ever JKCA Inter-School U-14 Boys Cricket Tournament after convincing wins in their respective semifinals on Friday.

The summit clash is scheduled for Sunday July 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Doon School Ground in Srinagar.

The tournament, organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), witnessed high-voltage encounters across venues in Jammu and Srinagar.

At DPS Srinagar ground, JKCA Leopards outclassed Green Valley School by a massive 195-run margin in the first semifinal.

Opting to bat first, the Leopards posted a mammoth 261/7 in 25 overs, with a sensational unbeaten century by Arsalan (101)* and a fine knock of 66 runs by Anas bin Irshad.

In reply, Green Valley collapsed for 66 runs in 17 overs, unable to counter the disciplined bowling of Qamran, who bagged three wickets. Arsalan was adjudged Player of the Match for his superb ton and received the award from Arusa Rasool, Coordinator, DPS Srinagar.

In the second semifinal at Doon School, DPS Srinagar eked out a narrow 7-run win over the hosts in a nail-biting finish.

Batting first, DPS scored 155/7 in 25 overs, with Inaam Imraj (48), Hashir Mohd (32), and Rafid (30)* making crucial contributions.

Doon School fought hard but fell short, managing 148 runs. Hayaan (44) and Sharik (28)* kept hopes alive, but Azam Asif’s four-wicket haul, including a hat-trick, sealed the game for DPS. Azam was named Player of the Match.
