JKCA invites applications for umpires workshop in Jammu and Srinagar from June 25
Srinagar, Jun 18: The Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) is set to organise an Umpires Workshop in both Jammu and Srinagar between 25th June and 7th July 2025.
In a notification issued by JKCA, the clinic aims to identify and train aspiring cricket umpires in the region. However, exact dates and venues for the two cities will be communicated separately by the association.
As per the official notification, the workshop will run for five days and conclude with an examination on the sixth day. Only candidates who successfully clear the exam will be considered for future umpiring assignments under the JKCA banner.
For eligibility criteria, the notification states the candidate must be between 20 and 40 years of age, with 40 years being the upper limit.
The minimum educational qualification has been set as Class 12 with basic knowledge of cricket as mandatory.
The notification also states that preference will be given to ex-cricketers.
With regard to the application process, it has asked that interested candidates submit their applications in a sealed envelope at the JKCA Office, Jammu, or Srinagar, or through email to cacjkca@gmail.com by or before 22nd June 2025.
The notification further adds that applications must include a filled application form, proof of educational qualification, valid age proof and documents verifying cricket knowledge/experience.
