JKCA announces Talent Hunt 2025 trials for junior boys

Srinagar, Apr 23: The Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has officially announced its ‘Talent Hunt 2025’ for junior boys in the U-16 and U-19 categories.

The trials, as per a circular on the JKCA website, will be conducted centrally in Jammu and Srinagar, with specific dates to be notified separately.

As per the JKCA circular issued on 22 April 2025, aspiring cricketers are required to submit relevant documents through email no later than April 29, 2025.

The documents include a digitised date of birth (DOB), updated Aadhaar card (PVC format), previous three years’ marksheets, and PAN card.

Players born between September 1, 2009, and before 31 August 2011, will be eligible for the U-16 category. Submissions for this group should be emailed to jkca.under16@gmail.com.

Similarly, players born on or after September 1, 2006, qualify for the U-19 category and should send their documents to 19boys.jkca@gmail.com.

Importantly, the circular mentions that players must ensure that their DOB is clearly mentioned on the marksheets. If not, a bona fide certificate from the school must accompany the submission.

The JKCA also clarified that players who were part of the official JKCA teams for the 2024-25 season (first fifteen only) are exempt from the trials. However, those moving to a new age category must undergo the trial process.
