Srinagar, Nov 6: In a powerful gathering at Town Hall, Anantnag, the J&K All Departments Clerical Staff Association (Ministerial Federation), lead by State President, Jeelani Naik, brought pressing issues to the fore, calling for immediate action from the concerned authorities.

The convention highlighted core demands that seek to restore dignity, fair treatment, and career growth for the clerical cadre.

Naik emphasised that the time for justice is “now, as these long-standing issues continue to affect the morale and livelihood of the workforce.”

Among the issues the Federation urged swift action on several demands:

Restore the Old Pension Scheme and ensure full benefits under SRO-43 to protect the future of the clerical cadre and their families

Implementation of the court judgment to address pay disparity of the clerical cadre, applied retroactively from 1st January 1996 and monetarily from 19th February 2003, along with provisions for career advancement.

Restoration of two increments to rightfully recognise the contribution of clerical staff and ensure financial fairness. Establish a unified clerical service framework to streamline progression and elevate the status of clerical roles across departments.

The convention marks a call for meaningful change. “JKLADCSA remains resolute in its commitment to securing justice and a dignified working environment for every clerical employee across Jammu and Kashmir.”

Other leaders including Mir Muzaffar, S. Gurmeet Singh, Ashish Sharma, Mir Bashrat, Asif Habib, Atta-ullah Rather, Javid Ahmad Rather, Mohd Maqbool, Shahnawaz Ahmad Khan, Javid Ahmad Shah, Nazir Hussain, and Syed Safvi and Tauseef Ahamd Ganie also joined the convention and made a collective appeal to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir for redressal of critical issues of the clerical cadre and employees.
